2000年北海道出身のartist。

2023年星槎道都大学芸術学部デザイン学科を卒業した年に上京し本格的に活動を開始。

現在は東京に拠点を持ち、アーティスト活動と、自身の名刺ブランド“SKIN”のクリエイティブディレクターを務める。

【活動と作品について】

tokiは2000年、実に20世紀から21世紀へと移行した年に、北海道の函館に生まれ育った。

21世紀の大衆性を捉え再解釈し、現世に蔓延る新たな社会問題への提起、また新たなポップアートの形へと移行してく表現にチャレンジしている。

表現として、日本の美術史的文脈とも言える漫画・アニメ・ゲーム文化の影響を受けた二次元的グラフィック、また筆の痕跡、物質感、即興性等、パリ滞在制作時に受けたインスパイアの二面性を作品に落とし込む。

[About His Activities and Works]

Toki was born and raised in Hakodate, Hokkaido, in 2000, the year of the transition from the 20th to the 21st century.

Toki reinterprets 21st-century popular culture, raising awareness of new social issues prevalent in the present day, and challenging himself with expressions that transition to new forms of pop art.

In terms of expression, he incorporates two-dimensional graphics influenced by manga, anime, and game culture—which can be considered a historical context of Japanese art—and the duality of inspiration he received during his residency in Paris, such as brushstrokes, materiality, and improvisation.
